ABOUT

  • The district came into existence on May 13, 1912, as the result of an election held May 9, 1912. 

  • It is governed by a board of three elected directors. 

  • The district was created as San Benito Cameron County Drainage District No 3. 

  • The District's main purpose is to remove the excess surface water resulting from precipitation and runoff. Maintenance and mowing of the drain ditches and pipelines occur throughout the year.
